- Plugin-based gateway integration mode
- Public package distribution model
Current Operational Position
- WooCommerce is the currently live packaged commerce integration.
- In this workspace, the WooCommerce source repo is not available locally.
- That means documentation and package contract can be audited here, but code-level hardening and test expansion remain blocked on source access.
Minimum Standard Alignment
WooCommerce and Shopify should be held to the same minimum sandbox-readiness bar:
- explicit auth and credential model
- documented sandbox and production setup
- supported currency list documented clearly
- callback or webhook handling documented clearly
- repeatable validation checklist
- operator support path
If WooCommerce already satisfies that bar in the external source repo, the next step is to verify it with source-level tests and release docs. If it does not, it should be brought up to the same minimum standard before production promotion.
Install
- Choose the environment you are installing for:
- For sandbox:
- Open the Sandbox Console and create or copy your sandbox credentials.
- Download the sandbox plugin ZIP from the links above.
- For production:
- Use the production plugin ZIP only after production approval and production credential provisioning.
- In WordPress Admin, go to
Plugins -> Add New -> Upload Plugin. - Upload the PayWise plugin ZIP and activate it.
- Open the plugin settings and provide the credentials for the environment you selected.
Sandbox Notes
- Use the sandbox plugin for testing against
sandbox-docs.paywise.coand Sandbox Console credentials. - Public developer docs intentionally send new developers to the Sandbox Console first.
- Use the production plugin with
docs.paywise.coonly after going through the production approval path separately. - Verify supported currencies and callback behavior against the installed plugin version before promotion.
Assets
- Use the payment sticker asset where you need a PayWise acceptance badge in storefront or checkout content.
Support
- If you need a fresh plugin build or changelog clarification, contact PayWise support and include the plugin version you installed.
